Elevator and escalator safety app
Developed in collaboration with the Elevator and Escalator Safety Foundation, SafeTRiders teaches kids elevator safety using two superhero mascots, the Safety Boy and Safety Girl. Kids get to watch a video, read a click-through story, and answer trivia questions to earn their safety certificate.

Click-Through Story
Kids traverse their way through an interactive click-through story featuring Safety Boy, Safety Girl, and two students navigating their school. This story guides children through safe practices for using elevators, escalators, and walkways, helping them make responsible choices in real life.
By immersing kids in a narrative where they actively participate in decision-making, the app keeps them interested with an educational experience that reinforces safety lessons in a memorable and relatable way.
Trivia
Once kids complete the click-through story, they can start “Trivia Time”, where they answer 10 multiple-choice questions about elevator and escalator safety to test their knowledge.
Incorrect answers fade out, prompting them to select another choice without imposing a penalty.
Upon completing the trivia challenge, kids receive a safety certificate. This learning journey encourages persistence and rewards achievement of a thorough understanding of safety protocols.
Teacher Portal
SafeTRiders also includes a teacher portal allowing educators to register students and receive their earned certificates, along with the date of achievement.
This feature supports teachers by streamlining certificate management, enabling them to easily track student progress and provide recognition.
With options to email or print certificates, teachers can effectively share and celebrate student accomplishments, reinforcing the importance of safety education.
